Welcome to Whitebear Rug Co.

We specialize in the sale of fine antique textiles. Whitebear Rug Co. has one of the largest selections of historic Navajo weavings in the greater Chicago, Illinois area. All of the rugs have been woven by Navajo Native Americans and the majority pre-date 1940. We have been in the Indian arts markets for over 17 years. Most of our weavings, pottery and baskets have come from private collections.

We also offer many antique western American baskets woven by the Apache, Mono, Yokut and Pima tribes, as well as well as a selection of Hopi and Acoma pottery.

Each year we participate in several fine antique shows in Santa Fe and the Midwest.

In addition to purchasing and selling fine historic materials we are a resource for collectors to quality care, cleaning and restoration services.
